Happy February Everyone,
We are cruising through the months so fast I can barely keep up. For my January Challenge I decided to do three things: Get a planner, drink green tea with lemon and do yoga AGAIN!
I hope you had a fantastic January but remember: Don’t get too harsh on yourself if you couldn’t accomplish everything that you planned on doing this month. At the end of last year I wrote a post about Reverse Bucket Lists but that applies to short term plans as well. Spend a couple minutes today and write down what you accomplished and what are you happy about from January. Take a moment to appreciate yourself!
I didn’t finish all my January challenges perfectly and there were days when I struggled or forgot to drink tea or ran out of lemon but most days I did my best. But let’s see the details:
This was a must. I think I am a pretty organized person overall, but my note taking was getting out of control. When I thought of something, I just wrote it down on a piece of paper and then kept piling those notes on top of each other. If a blog idea popped in my head, I wrote it down quickly and then kept looking for it when it was time to write it up. It was chaos. So I got a planner and a folder for the blog ideas and upcoming projects. It is much easier to find things now and I love this little planner. It reminds me of Arizona so it is extra special 🙂

The goal was to drink two cups of green tea every day. I had one cup around noon and the other at night. I got a box of caffeine free green tea just for that purpose. I love sipping on a hot drink at night while watching a movie. I usually add honey to my tea but towards the end of the month I got very fancy with lemon and additional orange slices as well.
In November I did a 30 day yoga challenge that I continued up until Christmas time. During Christmas and New Year’s I skipped a couple days but I really missed it. It does help my back problems a lot so I got back to it in January. I am not planning to stop so I will continue as long as I continue. I use free YouTube videos. My friend recommended Yoga with Adriene. She is super fun and she has hundreds of videos for all kinds of needs. Check her out if you want to do an at home yoga session.
Not that I have this particular problem at the moment but I thought this quote was really funny. There were definitely times in my life when I could relate 😀
